The Evolution of MH Installation Requirements & Why:
In the late 50's manufactured homes started their growth in width & length. A standard home grew to 10' wide, then 12', then 14', then 16', then 18' over the next two decades. Lengths increased to as high as 90 feet. In the early 70's manufacturers figured out that they could just start combining sections to increase the width and square footage. This was the advent of the doublewide manufactured home, or as referred to today as a multi-section manufactured home.
